Multiples

On a recent visit to a nearby nature preserve, we saw not only leaping deer and singing swallows, we saw pelicans. Lots of pelicans. Flying, floating multiple pelicans.

  1. So beautiful! We are heading to the lake in North Platte next week for Easter. The MIL says the pelicans are migrating through...hope they are still there! Love this picture!

They are beautiful! We don't see pelicans around here. Have a great day!

  4. Not to mention standing, preening pelicans.

What a find. I'm surprised you have them Val ... I don't recall them in Wisconsin. Maybe they're like Wisconsin senators who tend to hang out south of the border.

  6. Are those the Pelicans who's mouths hold more than their bellycans?

  8. This image caught me off guard, for I didn't know pelicans could be found in Illinois. Where do they go for summer? Can you tell them they can visit the West Coast?

  9. A fine shot! What is the collective noun for a bunch of pelicans?
Seems odd to me too, I never see them here although brown ones are on the coast.

  11. A gaggle of geese, a what? of pelicans? Nicely shot with good exposure. They seem so social, clustered to gether like that.

  12. I love pelicans too! As to what a group is called...I'd call them a party of pelicans as they always look like they're having a party!
