Man

A vendor on the grounds at Chichen Itza, trying to sell this carving of a Jaguar head, clowns around to attract business.

I found it a little disturbing that vendors are allowed to ply their wares on the grounds of this ancient Mayan site. Outside the gates would seem to be more appropriate.

  1. Living Cultures override Dead Cultures Val. People have to eat. Try and enjoy both aspects.

  2. Hi Val,
Great picture! I can agree with both you and Ron. But it does make you wonder why they don't make them stay out of the ruins. Have a great day!

  3. Vendors can ruin anything! Even the ruins! Nice shot!

  4. I like the shot, hard to say if it would work to keep vendors away

  5. I hear you. We felt the same way when we went to Edinburgh Castle in Scotland.
