Back in the day

What day? The day when gas stations had all these cools signs, advertising their wares. This shot was taken under a bridge in downtown Chicago. Perhaps Ellen and Mary Lou will recognize it?

Cropped out some excess bridge deck and applied a little Topaz Adjust (Highlights recovery) to try to tone down the reflection over the upper right edge of the sign.

  1. Cool shot - I like the intensity of the colors. Imagine an advertising agency pitching "Because - It's Good" to a client these days!!!

  2. That's amazing that you found that under a bridge. Don't you wonder how all those items migrated there? Great photo.

  4. I like all of the different textures and that it is the sign that adds color. Love to have that sign!
